Corinthians drew 1-1 with Uruguay's Peñarol in the Copa Libertadores group stage, with Zakaria Labyad scoring to join the club's 2026 scorers' list.

The fifth-round tie at the Campeón Del Siglo finished level. According to Meu Timao, the result adjusted the ranking of the club's top marksmen this year.

The attacking midfielder, wearing 52, was named in the starting line-up for the first time, though his involvement came in the second half. He swept in a right-footed finish after André's effort, diverted by Pedro Raul, dropped kindly in the box.

His goal made him the 18th Corinthians player to score in 2026, alongside Memphis, Gui Negão, Vitinho, right-back Matheuzinho and centre-backs André Ramalho and João Pedro Tchoca.

Fernando Diniz's side are back in action on Sunday at 18:30 against Atlético Mineiro in the 17th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro at Neo Química Arena.
