Zinédine Zidane has reiterated his desire to take over France’s national team in the future. The France legend was a speaker at the Festival Dello Sport, a festival organized by the daily outlet Gazzetta dello Sport and hosted in Trento. With Didier Deschamps set to depart the hot seat after the 2026 World Cup, Zidane is touted as the obvious candidate to take over Les Bleus from his former teammate with Les Bleus.
Zidane is a free agent since resigning from his post as Real Madrid head coach in 2021. Nevertheless, he has always been adamant that he would like to manage France’s national day one day. On Sunday, he was clear again on his managerial intentions, as reported by Gianluca di Marzio. “I will definitely return to coaching. I don’t know what the future holds for me. One of my goals is to coach the French national team. We’ll see.“
