Manchester United will entertain Chelsea at Old Trafford this Saturday evening as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils suffered a dismal 3-0 loss at the hands of Manchester City last weekend, which has drained their confidence ahead of this game.

Ruben Amorim will once again set his players up in a 3-4-2-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this contest. Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo could both play from the start of this game.

3-4-2-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Chelsea

Defence

Altay Bayindir will feature in between the sticks for the Mancunian club after shipping in three goals in his last league outing. Man United could once again lineup with a back three of Luke Shaw, Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro for this game. All three of them need to give a good account of themselves if the Red Devils are to keep a clean sheet this weekend.

Harry Maguire will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Kobbie Mainoo and Casemrio will operate as Amorim’s holding midfielders. Their main focus would be to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.

Patrick Dorgu will try to catch the eye on the left flank while Noussair Mazraoui looks to prove his worth on the right wing.

Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo will play as the free-flowing attacking midfielders for the home team in the opponent’s half. Both of them would have to carry most of the offensive workload for Man United this weekend.

Amad Diallo and Manuel Ugarte will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.

Attack

Joshua Zirkzee will spearhead Man United’s attack up top. He has to find a way to cause some headaches for the Chelsea defenders.

Benjamin Sesko will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if Man United are in need of a goal. However, both Mason Mount and Matheus Cunha will be sidelined for this game due to injuries.
