1. FC Köln wonderkid Said El Mala set for first Germany senior call-up

After just nine Bundesliga appearances, Said El Mala has reportedly earned his first call-up to Germany’s senior national team.

According to Kicker, the 19-year-old will be included in coach Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Slovakia, with the official announcement to come on Thursday afternoon.

El Mala has impressed hugely this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists for Köln.

Just last Sunday, the young attacker made a significant impact off the bench, scoring and assisting to help the Billy Goats secure a 4-1 home win over Hamburger SV.
