Mamelodi Sundowns played to a 1-1 draw with Siwelele FC in a Betway Premiership encounter at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium on Wednesday.

The home side broke the deadlock through former Orlando Pirates winger Vincent Pule in the 27th minute of the match.

While Siwelele took their advantage to the break, the defending champions restored parity in the 74th minute, thanks to Lebo Mothiba.

Masandawana were reduced to 10-man as midfield maestro Teboho Mokoena was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence with nine minutes of regulation time left.

As a result, Sundowns remain second on the table and trail log leaders Pirates with two points, having amassed 26 points from 14 league outings.

For Lehlohonolo Seema's men, the stalemate has them sitting in 11th with 16 points picked up from 15 games.
