It is impossible to talk about Viridiana Salazar without acknowledging the tireless effort she puts into every action on the pitch. The Chivas Femenil number 30 needs no introduction, as she has been an important name in women's soccer since its inception, leaving her mark both with the Rebaño and with Pachuca, her first team in the Liga MX Femenil.
Matchday 17 of the 2025 Apertura was marked by a significant achievement in 'Viri's' career: with her goal against Necaxa, the Quintana Roo native reached 100 goals as a professional, something that very few have achieved. Salazar put her name on the scoreboard in the 58th minute of the match between Rebaño and Necaxa, coming in from the second line to finish off Joseline Montoya's diagonal pass inside the area.
A founder of the women's circuit, Viridiana has 17 tournaments under her belt, in which she has played in two finals and distinguished herself as a dangerous attacker on the circuit. In just over six years defending the Tuzas' colors, she scored 87 goals in 203 games. But it doesn't end there, as she was crowned top scorer in AP19 with 17 goals.
Ahead of CL24, Salazar changed teams and donned the Rojiblanca jersey, which not only meant wearing different colors, but also finding new roles on the field for the benefit of the team, while still allowing her to continue scoring goals. Since joining the team, 'Viri' has scored 13 times, in addition to the unquestionable sacrifice and explosiveness she brings to every action she participates in.
The reward for Viridiana Salazar's work came on October 31 at the Estadio AKRON, and these were undoubtedly the first 100 goals of many more to come.
