Jamal Musiala shone for Germany during the international break. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been in fine form for Bayern Munich, scoring big goals and leading the team to victories. Musiala is the talk of the town as he enters the final 18 months of his contract at Bayern.
The German international expects to have more concrete updates regarding the contract renewal during the winter break. Bayern have held positive talks with the exciting attacking talent. Musiala has also publicly expressed a desire to stay in Munich. There is a significant chance of Musiala signing a new deal with Die Roten.
Sky Sports in Germany has revealed the potential mouth-watering numbers behind Bayern’s contract offer for Musiala. The young attacking midfielder will potentially earn a gross salary of €25 million and sign a contract extension at least until 2029.
Musiala is also expected to get a significant signing fee, while a considerable agent fee will be involved in the deal. As things stand, Sky Sports reports that the estimated financial package for Musiala’s contract extension will be close to €120 million. It is a significant investment from Bayern for a player who turned 21 in February.
Manchester City have been credited with concrete interest in Musiala, while other big European giants will join the race if the German international decides to leave Bayern. The Bavarian club needed an ambitious sporting and financial package to convince Musiala to stay in Bavaria.
From Bayern’s point of view, the contract extension is an expensive affair, but replacing Musiala in the current transfer market will be a much bigger investment. Moreover, Die Roten cannot lose a top German talent like Musiala to one of their European rivals. Several clubs will happily sign a big fat check to get Musiala, so Die Roten had to break the bank to keep him.
Die Roten believe Musiala can be the face of the club for the next decade. The German international wants to compete at the highest level and win trophies. Bayern can provide him the platform for collective and individual success, which suggests signing a new deal will be a no-brainer for Musiala.
Bayern would ideally like to resolve Musiala’s contract before the winter transfer window. They cannot afford contract talks to drag on since the German midfielder will have only one year left on his current deal at the end of the season. Considering the noise coming out from Germany, a positive conclusion to contract talks with Musiala looks like a matter of time for Bayern.
