Hansi Flick has a special match awaiting him in five days as he will face his former side Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. This is going to be the first real test for the German tactician since he took charge at FC Barcelona, and he will be looking to get the full three points against the Bavarians.

Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany has also recently taken charge at Bayern Munich, and he will also be looking to get a victory in this blockbuster clash of the newly formatted UCL.

However, Kompany’s task of getting a win in this game has become significantly harder as SPORT reports that his star midfielder Jamal Musiala is a doubt for the game against Barcelona, and it is not clear whether he will even travel with the rest of his team to the Catalan capital.

The €130m-ratrd German playmaker suffered a hip injury sometime before the October international break, which kept him from participating in the German national team’s matches during this break.

Kompany has already confirmed that Musiala will be unavailable for his side’s upcoming Bundesliga game on Saturday against Stuttgart.

Despite the doubts regarding his fitness, Bayern Munich will be doing their best to ensure Musiala is back for this game against Barcelona. This is particularly the case as this game is not only important because of the competitive rivalry between the two clubs, but also because the Bavarians lost their first match of the UCL league phase, and will be looking to not drop any more points.

On the other hand, Flick, who was the manager under whom Musiala made his debut with the German national team, would prefer the German playmaker to not play in the match against Barcelona as he knows the player perfectly, and understands the danger that he can pose.
