Construction has begun at Elland Road on a project to elevate Leeds United’s ground to elite European standards.
Significant groundwork took place over the weekend and into this week. A club spokesperson stated that “enforcement works” are ongoing.

Major construction is scheduled after the current season, lifting capacity to 53,000 by expanding the West and North Stands and making targeted changes to the South Stand.
The redevelopment will make Elland Road a UEFA Category four stadium, placing it among Europe’s leading venues.
