SC Paderborn are back in third place in 2. Bundesliga after their win over ten-man SC Preußen Münster. The visitors took an early lead as Etienne Amenyido was left unmarked in Paderborn’s box.
The hosts showed no signs of a comeback until Yassine Bouchama’s straight red card around the half-hour mark. Including bringing on experienced strikers Sven Michel and Steffen Tigges, Ralf Kettemann makes three half-time substitutions.
The former Borussia Dortmund man was the game-changer as he doubled his tally for the season with his second brace. Tigges’ equalizer came five minutes after the restart with a header from the near post.
The 27-year-old missed a great chance before putting Paderborn ahead in the 83rd minute. He rose highest to score from Raphael Obermair’s corner-kick with yet another powerful header. With Eleversberg dropping points at home to Bochum, Paderborn are now in the top three of 2. Bundesliga standings.
