Promotion hopefuls Hannover face Magdeburg away from home, while Nürnberg and Preußen Münster lock horns on Friday in 2. Bundesliga.
Hannover have a great record against Magdeburg in head-to-head fixtures. Including a 3-1 win in the reverse fixture, they have won five of the previous seven meetings with the club from eastern Germany.
Christian Titz’s side ended a four-game winless run with a 2-1 win over ten-man Fortuna Düsseldorf last weekend. Meanwhile, the rejuvenated Magdeburg side surprisingly lost at home to Dynamo Dresden in the derby.
It will be an emotional fixture for Titz as he helped Magdeburg to a surprise fifth-placed finish at the end of his five-year spell at the modest club.

However, Münster recorded their first win over Nürnberg since the 1950s when the two sides met in matchday 3. Alexander Ende’s side lost the first two games of the new year against Karlsruhe and Paderborn.
