Roma pair Artem Dovbyk and Mats Hummels have both finished in joint 29-th placed in the final rankings of the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Dovbyk ended up on the 2024 Ballon d’Or shortlist after an impressive first season in LaLiga with Girona, where he finished as the division’s top scorer with a tally of 24 goals from 36 league outings.
His impressive form in front of goal earned him a move to Roma at a cost of up to €38.5m over the summer. It took him a little while to get going in Serie A, but he has since come up with three league goals from his last six league outings.
The Ukrainian centre-forward also has two goals from three appearances in the Europa League this term.
Hummels also ranked in exactly the same position as his Giallorossi teammate. The 2014 World Cup winner played a pivotal role as Borussia Dortmund made it all the way to the Champions League final for the first time since 2013 last season.
Hus contract with Die Borussen ended at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, and the 34-year-old eventually signed for Roma on a free transfer at the beginning of September.
After a long summer without a pre-season, Hummels had to wait for his Roma debut, which eventually came in the final stages of Sunday evening’s chaotic 5-1 loss to Fiorentina in Serie A.
