Fresh from winning the Roshn Saudi League title, Joao Felix was celebrating again after the Al Nassr star was on Friday named the 2025-26 Player of the Season.
The Portugal international, who 24 hours previously lifted the top-flight trophy at a joyous Al Awwal Stadium, was voted the competition’s best player ahead of teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, golden boot winner Julian Quinones, Al Ahli’s Ivan Toney and Al Hilal’s Ruben Neves.
A summer signing from English Premier League side Chelsea, Felix was a justifiable winner given his dazzling debut campaign in the RSL. The forward, who netted a hat-trick on his league bow, went on to score 20 goals and register 13 assists - the latter the highest in the 2025-26 RSL.
Felix also picked up nine Man of the Match awards from his 33 appearances, while he was twice named Player of the Month.
The voting panel for the SPL Awards includes the head coaches and captains of all 18 participating clubs in the 2025-26 Roshn Saudi League, in addition to 18 of the Kingdom’s leading sports journalists, together with fans of the RSL.
The head coaches and captains each make up 40 percent of the vote, with the media's contribution weighted at 15% and fans at 5%.
Al Nassr were recognised, too, in Jorge Jesus winning Manager of the Season. The Portuguese tactician, who took home the award while Al Hilal manager in 2023-24, guided the capital club to their first RSL title in seven seasons.
Sealing the top-flight trophy on the final day, Al Nassr won the championship by two points from Al Hilal, triumphing in 28 of their 34 matches. Al Nassr also led the league for goals scored (91) while they boasted the third-best defence (28 conceded). Their 17 cleans sheets was level-best with Al Ahli.
A huge part to their ultimate success was a 16-match winning run from mid-January to May - an Al Nassr club record. The champions also began the campaign with 10 successive wins.
Jesus, who on Thursday announced he was leaving Al Nassr following their title success, secured four of the season’s seven Manager of the Month honours.
Meanwhile, there was another seasonal nod for Musab Al Juwayr, the Al Qadsiah summer signing adding Saudi Player of the Season to the young player award he captured last season.
Al Juwayr, 22, recorded 17 goal contributions (six goals, 11 assist) as Al Qadsiah finished fourth in the table. As such, he ranked behind only Al Ettifaq winger Khalid Al Ghannam for 2025-26 goal contributions.

Al Juwayr, expected to play a pivotal part in Saudi Arabia’s 2026 FIFA World Cup quest, was one of only four players in the RSL to complete more than 2,000 passes.
His successor for the Best Young Talent award was Abdulaziz Al Elewa, of Al Kholood. The 22-year-old winger was voted the league’s best youngster following a breakout season in which he scored four times and registered two assists - accounting for almost 10 percent of his club’s goals through 2025-26.
Al Elewa played 33 of Al Kholood’s 34 RSL matches and was named Young Player of the Month four times.
Friday’s Season Awards were rounded off with confirmation Julian Quinones clinched the golden boot as the league’s top scorer. The Al Qadsiah striker, who is heading to the FIFA World Cup with hosts Mexico, found the net 33 times, with his hat-trick at Al Ittihad on the final day seeing him leapfrog Toney (32) at the summit.
Quinones was voted Man of the Match a league-best 14 times, while he became only the fifth player in history to hit four hat-tricks in a single RSL season.
And, while Toney narrowly missed out on the golden boot, Al Ahli teammate Edouard Mendy sealed the 2025-26 golden glove, which goes to the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets.
Since Al Hilal’s Yassine Bono matched Mendy’s tally of 14, the Senegal No.1 edged out his African rival thanks to both his superior goals-conceded-per-game rate and penalty record.
In the former, Mendy’s numbers clocked in at 0.69 compared to Bono’s 0.77, while he made three penalty saves to Bono’s none. Remarkably, both goalkeepers made 46 saves for the season.
