Newly promoted FC Anyang will begin their first-ever K League 1 season away to champions Ulsan HD on Sunday 16th February, with the 2025 season's fixtures finally announced on Friday 10th January.
The opening day seems Pohang Steelers host Daejeon Hana Citizen for the official curtain raiser on Saturday 15th February at 1 PM, before Jeju SK take on FC Seoul at 3:30, and Gwangju FC face Suwon FC at 4:30.
Sunday 16th February will see the champions in action, both from K League 1 and 2 with Ulsan hosting FC Anyang at 2 PM, before Jeonbuk host Gimcheon Sangmu and Daegu host Gangwon at 4:30.
With the season starting a little earlier than usual, all opening weekend matches are kicking off in the south of the country where it should be slightly warmer.
Friday night football stays with teams taking turns to kick the weekend off early, with the first such fixtures set for Round 11 when Ulsan host Gwangju and Pohang entertain Gimcheon. The first midweek round is in May also, with Children's Day fixtures on Monday 5th May, and four fixtures slated for the following evening. In all, there are four midweek rounds in total - Rounds 12, 16, 19, and 23.
