K L eague 2 champions Incheon United swept the main awards for 2025, with Gerso Fernandes winning MVP, Yoon Jong-hwan winning Manager of the Year, and Park Seung-ho winning Young Player of the Year.
The brightest star of the 2025 K League 2 season was Incheon United’s Gerso Fernandes. He topped every voting category — with six manager votes, 10 captain votes, and 87 media votes — to claim the MVP award.
This season, Gerso recorded 12 goals and 10 assists in 37 appearances, the second-highest attacking contribution in the squad, and played a key role in Incheon’s K League 2 title win and promotion.
With his pace, sharp dribbling, and clinical finishing, Gerso consistently troubled defences. He was named Round MVP twice and selected for the Best XI 10 times.

His performances earned him a double triumph: the K League 2 MVP and a place in the Best XI as a forward.
Meanwhile, Euller of Seoul E-Land who won the Top Assist Maker Award, finished second with a converted score of 22.43, earning five manager votes, three captain votes, and 16 media votes. Valdivia of Jeonnam, who topped K League 2 with 16 goals and nine assists, followed with 14.52 points.

Yoon Jong-hwan, who guided Incheon United to the K League 2 title and promotion back to K League 1, has been named the K League 2 Manager of the Year for 2025. He received overwhelming support across all voting groups, with 10 manager votes, 11 captain votes, and 104 media votes.
Following his K League 1 Manager of the Year win last season after leading Gangwon to a runners-up finish, Yoon achieved another milestone this year by taking charge of Incheon and steering them to both the K League 2 title and the Manager of the Year award.
Yoon is now the first manager ever to win both the K League 1 and K League 2 Manager of the Year awards.
His coaching career has spanned a variety of clubs, including Ulsan and Gangwon in Korea, as well as Sagan Tosu, Cerezo Osaka, and JEF United in Japan, and Muangthong United in Thailand, earning him recognition as a tactically meticulous manager.
Under Yoon’s leadership, Incheon started the season with a win and maintained consistent form, never relinquishing the top spot after Round 8. Their performances included a 15-match unbeaten run (12 wins, 3 draws) and only one losing streak all season.

Incheon United’s Park Seung-ho has been named the K League 2 Young Player of the Year for the 2025 season, earning near-unanimous support with 10 votes from managers, 13 from captains, and 93 from the media.
Born in 2003, Park joined Incheon in the 2023 season and showed promise with one goal in nine appearances.
In the 2024 season, he strengthened his position in the squad with two goals and two assists in 25 matches. This season, despite Incheon’s relegation to K League 2, he stayed with the club and produced outstanding performances, scoring nine goals and providing one assist in 37 matches.
With excellent tactical understanding, Park played a central role in both goal-scoring and overall attacking play, helping lead Incheon to the K League 2 title. His consistency was evident throughout the season, earning him one Round MVP award, three Best XI selections, and three Man of the Match honours.
Park topped all major metrics among K League 2 Young Player candidates, including most appearances, most attacking contributions, and highest average rating, making him the clear winner of the Young Player of the Year award.
With this, Incheon swept the major awards this season — the title, Manager of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and MVP.
