Barbra Banda and Temwa Chawinga were unable to break into the top 10 of the 2025 Women's Ballon d'Or. The two African representatives finished 14th and 17th respectively in the final standings, which were unveiled in Paris on September 22 ahead of the official ceremony.

The Châtelet Theater set the stage for the announcement of the 2025 Women's Ballon d'Or rankings, just before the trophy presentations. While the top spots were yet to be revealed, the fate of the two nominated African players was already sealed. Barbra Banda, the Zambian striker for Orlando Pride and captain of the Copper Queens, claimed 14th place in the final ranking.

Temwa Chawinga, the Malawian forward playing for Kansas City, ended up in 17th place.
