While the United States is set to host the majority of the World Cup matches scheduled for next summer (also in Mexico and Canada, from June 11 to July 19), Donald Trump repeated last night that he was ready to relocate certain tournament fixtures. In recent weeks, the American president had already targeted Democratic cities "run by left-wing extremists who don't know what they're doing", as he put it. He added last night in Washington, during a meeting with his Argentine counterpart Javier Milei, that Gianni Infantino would move matches at his request, if he wanted: "If someone does a poor job and I think there's a security problem, I'd call Gianni, the head of FIFA, who's fantastic, and I'd say, let's move it to another place. And he would do it."
