With the next international break scheduled for September, Ghana finds itself in a strong position in the race for 2026 World Cup qualification. The Black Stars lead Group I with 15 points—three clear of the Comoros (second place) with four matches left in the qualifiers. This opens up the real possibility that the Black Stars could clinch qualification as early as September, a prospect that naturally interests Gideon Mensah.

Gideon Mensah weighed in on Ghana's chances, insisting that a miracle isn't needed to secure their spot at the tournament. He believes the Black Stars squad is deep and built for the challenge. All that's required is a change in mindset to finish the job.

"We don't need major changes for the final World Cup qualifiers. We just need a change in mentality for the remaining matches," Gideon Mensah said during his appearance on Sporty FM.
