Even though Rodrygo isn't even sure he'll make Brazil's squad for the 2026 World Cup, the Real Madrid winger is sending a message to Carlo Ancelotti about Neymar.

On Wednesday night, despite finding the net, Rodrygo saw Real Madrid fall to Manchester City (1-2) in the Champions League. Speaking about his beloved club Santos, he told TNT Sports after the match: “At least some good news! I'm happy that Santos stayed up and qualified for the Copa Sudamericana, with a result that exceeded our expectations. Everyone knows—I always support them, I keep a close eye on them, but the whole squad is on vacation over there and I have a big problem here. I need to solve it and focus on the game.”

Rodrygo was also asked about Neymar and his future at Santos. Rodrygo played it safe, refusing to take a firm stance but still showing his support for the former Barça and PSG star: “Whatever is best for him will make me happy. He knows how much I care about him. If he stays at Santos and that's best for his career, then he should stay. If he has to go elsewhere, I’ll always wish him the best, because he knows that in six months, we have a mission to accomplish.”

With that, Rodrygo reminded everyone that Brazilians are counting on Neymar for the 2026 World Cup.
