It has been some weeks since the winter transfer window closed in Europe, but FC Barcelona have been engaged in the operation for Vitor Roque’s transfer to the Brazilian side Palmieras for the last several days.

All the involved sides, the Blaugranes, Palmeiras, Real Betis, and the player himself have been engaged in complex negotiations for the last few days, but things seem to be getting a successful outcome for this operation.

In fact, SPORT reports that this operation can be completed today, on Monday, as the involved parties have already arrived at an agreement on the main points of the potential transfer operation.

Barcelona will be getting around €25 million for the transfer of 80% of the €20m-rated striker’s rights to Palmeiras. Thus, the Catalans will keep 20% rights on a promising player who is still only 19 years of age, while also ensuring they do not make any losses on him.

However, a final agreement is yet to be reached between the Blaugrana and the Brazilian side, as the former wants all the involved transactions to be completed before 30th June, so they can account for this transaction in the current financial year.

Meanwhile, Real Betis will also not prove to be a barrier in this operation, even though they got the player for a full-year loan while also having the option to permanently purchase him or extend his loan for another season.

The Verdiblancos do not want to sour their good relationship with Barcelona over this operation, and they might also get to keep some rights on the player, but this latter aspect is yet to be worked out.

In this context, the Brazilians are pushing to complete the transfer today, as they had already set Monday as their deadline for this operation, or tomorrow at the latest. If they feel any of the involved parties is not being firm on this operation, they will back out and look for other options in the remains days of the market.
