FC Barcelona have gradually dealt with several different kinds of injuries this season. Even right now, two of their most important attacking players are dealing with their respective injuries. These developments are proving to be problematic for Barcelona, and the team needs answers soon.

At the moment, squad depth is a problem that Hansi Flick will have to address and somehow solve. Lamine Yamal is already sidelined, and Robert Lewandowski has had to stay at the club during the international break as well due to issues with his back.

However, while both of those forwards will most probably be available right after the international break or a little bit after it, there may be a third recovering forward who ends up rejoining alongside them. Ferran Torres, who was last injured in the league outing against Deportivo Alaves, has made some great progress as well.

As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the 24-year-old Barcelona forward is already back to training on the grass at the Ciutat Esportiva, and his full return is now looking to be closer than ever. The Spaniard, who suffered a muscular injury in the bicep femoris of his right thigh, seems to have shrugged off that discomfort by now.

Initially, it was suspected that the player could be out for around 8 weeks. Now, ahead of the next game against Celta Vigo, that timeframe will have gone by. So either in that game or in the subsequent matches, the Spanish forward will likely end up making his return for Barcelona.

Able to play on either wing and also being capable of playing as a central forward, Torres would likely offer Barcelona and Hansi Flick some more options to play around with. Moreover, given how demanding this season is, the ideal situation would be for Flick to have all his players available.

Unfortunately, the ideal situation does not exist at the moment and Barcelona will need to get back on track as soon as possible. Having lost their last game against Real Sociedad, La Blaugrana can not afford any more slip ups knowing how close the La Liga title race still is and just how much time there is still left before the season concludes.
