There could be something quite interesting brewing up for FC Barcelona in this ongoing summer transfer window. Apparently, a certain Spanish striker could be on his way out and reports are suggesting that he might even have an agreement in place already.

According to Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, Spanish forward Ferran Torres has an agreement in principle with French club Paris Saint-Germain. The 26-year-old forward, who is currently contracted to Barça, could be on his way out this summer as a result.

While the player still has an active contract until 2027, it seems that a change of scenery might be his goal here. Moreover, the update states that a renewal appears quite unlikely as of right now and that could perhaps facilitate the player’s departure this summer as well and possibly even open up new avenues for him to progress in his own career.

As for Barcelona, they remain focused on the deal involving Karim Adeyemi and are also trying their best to resolve the Julian Alvarez operation as soon as possible. Ferran Torres, on the other hand, seems to have finally given in to the offers that were coming his way as per recent reports.

This could be a big move for all parties involved this summer, and especially for Barcelona given their current objectives. Despite his quality as a good back-up forward, Torres was not exactly untouchable for the Catalan giants this summer and that much appears to be obvious.

However, it will now be up to the club to negotiate a good fee if they do decide to offload the player this summer and generate revenue from his sale. In fact, this particular deal could end up greatly facilitating the Alvarez operation if La Blaugrana are able to ensure that the right price is paid for the Spanish forward.
