3 Barcelona stars meet with super agent Jorge Mendes | OneFootball

A trio of first-team players at La Liga giants Barcelona were spotted meeting with one of world football’s most high-profile agents this week.

The trio in question? Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, and Alejandro Balde.

All of attackers Lamine and Ansu, and defender Balde, are currently signed to Jorge Mendes’ representation agency.

Ahead of the fast-approaching summer transfer window, and with contract extensions potentially to be discussed, all three in turn this week sat down for a meal and lengthy discussion with Mendes himself.

Turning attentions towards the futures of Barcelona’s young trio of stars, Ansu is of course the only one whose situation for next season looks uncertain at present.

The 22-year-old was afforded a rare starting berth on Tuesday night, and produced a solid display en route to a 1-0 victory over Mallorca in La Liga.

His place in boss Hansi Flick’s plans beyond the summer, though, is considered as being very much up in the air.

Asked by a member of the media on Thursday whether he expects Ansu to stay put in Catalunya’s capital for next season, Jorge Mendes therefore admitted:

“I don’t know yet.”
