Chelsea are set to resume their Premier League campaign with a tricky trip to the Gtech Community Stadium, where they’ll take on Brentford in a mouth-watering London derby.

The Blues went into the international break on the back of consecutive London derby wins against West Ham United and Fulham.

They’ll be looking to extend their impressive form over capital rivals when they visit Brentford on Saturday evening.

The huge question mark ahead of this weekend’s contest centres around Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer.

The 23-year-old missed Chelsea’s last two games with a groin injury but has rejoined team training ahead of the trip to Brentford.

However, it remains to be seen if he’ll pass a late fitness test to play a part in the game.

How Chelsea could line up

Enzo Maresca will be keen for his side to pick up where they left off before the international break and should have a near-fully fit squad to choose from.

Robert Sanchez should keep his spot in goal, with Malo Gusto likely to start at right back ahead of Blues skipper Reece James.

James was heavily involved for England during the international break and could be handed a breather, especially with a crucial Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on the horizon.

Gusto should be joined in defence by Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Marc Cucurella.

Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez will continue their excellent partnership at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield, while fans will have to wait to see if Palmer will be fit enough to start.

If he isn’t, new signings Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Buonanotte may get the chance to make their debut, while Estevao retains his spot on the right flank after his impressive performances.

The only enforced absence is Liam Delap, who suffered a hamstring injury that will rule him out for up to three months. Joao Pedro will lead the line in the absence of the English striker.
