Trevoh Chalobah is a key player for Chelsea, but there are still transfer links connecting him with a move, in this case to Aston Villa.
Aston Villa have today been linked with transfer interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, with CaughtOffside saying that the 26 year old is seen a “strong addition to Unai Emery’s defensive unit.”
The Villains are currently right in the midst of the battle for a Champions League place with Chelsea, and a lot of their summer business will be affected by how that goes. They see Chalobah as “an upgrade capable of adding composure and recovery pace to their backline.”

We’re not surprised at all to see this news – Chalobah has now proved over many seasons that he’s good enough to play for a Champions League contender, and Chelsea are constantly seeming to make him available for transfer.
FotMob having his current value at €47.7m, the highest it’s been in his career, after 18 really impressive months since his recall from loan at Crystal Palace.
It will be very interesting to see if that stance has finally changed this year, after a campaign where he’s been undisputed first choice at the back. Or will the temptation of selling off a “pure profit” player and replacing him with another Ligue 1 import be too tempting for our sporting directors?
Chelsea are proving better against teams who have more of the ball, and the stats show it pretty starkly. It’s a problem Liam Rosenior needs to fix.
Reece James has developed as a leader on and off the pitch, and Omari Kellyman has spoken about how inspired he’s been by the captain.
