Forty-eight athletes from various countries, including Morocco's Hakim Ziyech, France's Paul Pogba, and Egypt's Sam Morsi, have signed a petition calling for the exclusion of the "occupying entity" from all international sporting competitions. This initiative comes as a protest against the attacks carried out by the "oppressive occupier" in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, which have resulted in thousands of civilian casualties since October 7, 2023.

In their petition, the athletes reaffirmed their commitment to justice and human rights, urging the Union of European Football Associations and international bodies to suspend the participation of the "oppressive occupier" until international law is respected and civilians are protected.According to media reports, UEFA is considering sanctions against the Zionist entity and could soon decide to suspend its membership, in a move similar to the actions previously taken against Russia due to the conflict in Ukraine.
