Chelsea take on Arsenal on Sunday in a huge game for the Blues as they try to show the world that they’re worthy title contenders.

The Gunners have been at the top of the league for a while, and Chelsea have risen up the table in recent weeks to join them. It still feels like we’re a level or two below them, but we’re closing the gap. That’s why Sunday’s game brings such an interesting test.

The top 10 most in form players in the Premier League.

WhoScored just put out a graphic showing the top 10 most in form players in the Premier League according to their rating system. You can see the full list in the image above.

You’ll notice something worrying right away – Sunday’s opposition have 5 of the 10 players on the list, while we have just one.

Of course that’s no guarantee of anything, but it shows what fearsome form the Gunners are in at the moment. Right now every part of their team is in form, and while we got a confidence boost from beating Barcelona in midweek, they likely got an even bigger one from beating Bayern Munich.

It’s also interesting to note that Pedro Neto is the one Blues player on that list. He’s finally been getting the goals and assists his good play warrants, and that’s clearly really helping him. We need him at his best on Sunday, where he should have the space to run on the break.

In other Arsenal news…

Cole Palmer is confirmed to be fit, and the prospect of him playing regularly with Estevao is now on the horizon… we couldn’t get much more excited.

On the subject of whether this game was as big as the Barcelona game, Maresca said just what you’d expect him to – they’re both just 3 points.
