5️⃣ spicy fixtures you must watch this weekend 🌶

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

There are just two teams who remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season and they go head-to-head in South London on Saturday. Crystal Palace are on a 17-game unbeaten run under Oliver Glasner, equalling a club record. Stretching back to last season, it includes the Eagles’ famous FA Cup success and first major trophy.

This weekend offers a huge test of Glasner’s side, as league leaders Liverpool arrive in the capital. The Premier League champions have taken maximum points from their five games and are likely to have British record recruit Alexander Isak in the starting side for the first time. Palace, however, beat Liverpool to win the Community Shield in August and will be eyeing another upset.

Juventus vs Atalanta

Another clash between unbeaten sides, Juventus and Atalanta meet at Allianz Stadium. Both will be pleased with their starts to the season, with Juventus currently the closest challengers to league leaders Napoli.

However, Atalanta can climb above the Turin side with a win on the road. It would mark the biggest win of Ivan Jurić’s early reign.

AC Milan vs Napoli

AC Milan and Napoli go toe-to-toe in another super Serie A showdown. Milan have bounced back from an opening-day defeat to impress under Max Allegri, reeling of four straight wins without conceding a goal in all competitions.

The progress of the Rossoneri will be severely tested this weekend, however, when champions Napoli arrive in town. Antonio Conte’s charges are one of just four teams across Europe’s top five leagues with a 100% record this season.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal

Can Arsenal overcome their St James’ Park struggles? The Gunners have lost four of their last five visits to Newcastle without scoring a goal, but can not afford to fall further behind in the Premier League title race.

Mikel Arteta’s bizarre post-match comments after last weekend’s draw with Manchester City have brought criticism, as the Spaniard spoke of the congratulatory messages he received for drawing at the Emirates. Arsenal need to win this type of game – not just dominate – if they’re to get over the line in a title race.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid

Madrid rivalries resume this weekend and the two capital clubs are in contrasting mood. Atletico have endured a poor start to the La Liga campaign, taking just nine points from their six games to languish in mid-table. After significant investment, it has raised rare question marks against Diego Simeone’s management of the side.

Real Madrid, in contrast, are flying under new head coach Xabi Alonso. Seven straight wins have taken Los Blancos to the summit as Real look o wrestle back the title from Barcelona.

All eyes will be on this one.
