After arriving last January at Le Havre, Ahmed Hassan Kouka has already made his departure official. The Egyptian leaves after 16 matches (3 goals) and is set to join Saudi Arabia.
Here are five things to know about the Pharaoh, who is close to signing with Al-Ettifaq.
- Born on March 5, 1993, Ahmed Hassan Kouka was developed at Al-Ahly before making his first move to Europe in 2011 by signing for Rio Ave.
- Transferred to Braga in 2015, he spent three seasons there before going on loan twice to Olympiakos. The Greek club decided to sign him permanently in 2020, but he was loaned out again to Konyaspor and Alanyaspor in Turkey.
- After a final season at Pendikspor, then at Alanyaspor, he returned to Portugal with Rio Ave.
- He enjoyed the best spells of his career with Rio Ave (34 goals in 109 games), Braga (25 goals in 108 games), and Olympiakos (38 goals in 97 games).
- As an Egyptian international, he has 6 goals in 32 appearances for the Pharaohs. He hasn't been called up since the 2024 AFCON.
