Questioning our new signings every day

While our Red Bulls are hard at work in Flachau preparing for the new season, we’re using the breaks between sessions to get the new faces on the team to share some personal secrets and give us a glimpse into their daily lives at the training camp. Today, Dominik Schmid is up.

#1 | Are you the type who jumps out of bed wide awake at the first ring in the morning, or do you need five snooze alarms before you’re even fit for a conversation?

Dominik: "I’m always the same; I get up pretty early in the morning right away, without using the snooze button. But I do set a lot of alarms - like six or seven - just to be on the safe side."

#2 | Away from training: do you prefer to relax alone in your room, play a bit of table tennis, or enjoy some wellness time?

Dominik: "Right now, for me, it’s mostly physiotherapy, followed by some wellness and a bit of rest, because the days are pretty gruelling and you need to recover."

#3 | What is the most unusual item in your luggage?

Dominik: "A photo of my daughter."

#4 | What are the dishes that you always look forward to at the buffet?

Dominik: "Scrambled eggs in the morning - I generally really like those. We have a great chef, too - last night, for example, there was some really good vegetable lasagna. But honestly, I like pretty much everything!"

#5 | If we were to take a look at your social media algorithm, what would we see? Football videos, comedy, gaming, or cooking channels?

Dominik: "It’s very simple for me - pretty standard stuff: lots of football, and right now, especially World Cup content. Aside from that, the occasional funny video pops up now and then."
