A number of high-profile members of La Liga giants Real Madrid’s first-team ranks are continuing to train separately from the rest of José Mourinho’s squad this week.
This comes amid respective efforts to recover from long and short-term injury problems alike.
The bulk of the senior setup at Real Madrid are of course currently being put through final preparations for the club’s season opener this coming weekend.
Under the watch of new head coach José Mourinho, Los Blancos have been pencilled in for a trip to the RCDE Stadium to take on Espanyol on Sunday, August 23rd.
Days out from the fixture, though, six players are still training away from the main group at Valdebebas… As per a report from Real Madrid insider Arancha Rodriguez, long-term absentees Ferland Mendy, Éder Militão and Rodrygo remain in individualised training programmes.
And so too do fellow Blancos stars Raúl Asencio, Thiago Pitarch and Endrick. all sidelined more recently during pre-season. Of the latter trio, frontman Endrick is considered most likely to recover in time to take his place in the travelling squad to face Espanyol.
