Southampton have some key players out of contract at the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but which players could be heading for the exit door?

Southampton will be looking to win promotion back into the Premier League this season, after their 2025/26 league campaign reached a frustrating conclusion.

The Saints were the in-form team heading into the Championship play-offs last term, but the 'spygate' saga saw their season fall apart at a crucial stage, as they were kicked out of the play-offs.

This was hugely irritating for the St Mary's faithful to learn, as Southampton couldn't contest the Championship play-off final, despite beating Middlesbrough over two legs.

It's set to be an interesting year ahead for the Saints, and some players in particular will be looking to make a positive impact, as they fight for their futures with the club.

We'll take you through six players who won't be at Southampton next summer as things stand, with their contracts due to reach a conclusion.

6 ? ? Shea Charles

Charles has caught the eye for all the right reasons whilst with Southampton, and he'll be hoping he can continue to impress for the Saints heading into the final year of his contract.

The Northern Irish international has made 76 appearances in total for the Championship side, after signing from Manchester City in 2023. His strong performances during the 2025/26 season seemingly haven't gone unnoticed either, with Leeds United reportedly being long-term admirers of striking a deal to sign the 22-year-old, although Southampton are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of £30m.

A move to Elland Road is yet to materialise though, and it'll be interesting to see if Charles commits his long-term future to Southampton, or has his eye on a move elsewhere.

5 ? ? Gavin Bazunu

Bazunu is one of a handful of players that signed for Southampton after previously playing for Manchester City. The 24-year-old has made 97 appearances for Southampton's first-team in his four years with the club, although it remains to be seen as to whether he'll add to that appearance tally heading into the 2026/27 league campaign.

The shot-stopper had a brief loan spell with fellow Championship side, Stoke City last term, but injuries hampered his time with the Potters during that season.

He's likely to be behind Daniel Peretz in the pecking order in Tonda Eckert's plans for the new season, and so it wouldn't be too surprising to see Bazunu heading out on loan for his final year under contract with Southampton.

4 ? ? Samuel Edozie

There were high hopes for Edozie when he first signed for Southampton back in 2022, having previously been with Manchester City as a youngster.

The winger struggled for consistent game time in the 2025/26 Championship campaign, making just 14 league appearances for the Saints, where he showed glimpses of his quality.

He's scored eight goals in 81 appearances in his time with the Saints, and will be looking to make a positive impact for the club heading into the final year of his contract.

3 ? ? Ryan Manning

Manning has plenty of experience of playing Championship football, having previously been on the books with the likes of QPR, Swansea City, and Rotherham United prior to his move to Southampton in 2023.

The Irishman was a regular in the Saints' starting XI last term, making 51 appearances across all competitions for them. He made a notable impact at both ends of the pitch as well, as he scored eight goals, and was on hand to provide seven assists for his Southampton team-mates.

He's out of contract next year, and his future could potentially depend on which division Southampton are playing their football in next season.

2 ? ? Cameron Bragg

The central midfielder has been with Southampton since 2013, and hasn't looked out of place since forcing his way into the first-team picture in the last couple of years.

Bragg made 16 senior appearances for the Saints last term, as they missed out on promotion in frustrating circumstances. With his contract set to expire in the summer of 2027, it would be a surprise to see Southampton not look at new deal for the youngster, who still has plenty of room to develop in senior football.

1 ? ? Juan Larios

Larios arrived at St Mary's whilst Southampton were under the management of Ralph Hasenhüttl, who heaped praise on the young Spaniard when he signed from Manchester City in 2022.

The left-back spent some of his youth career with Spanish giants, Barcelona before moving to Manchester City, but has found regular game time hard to come by in Southampton's senior team.

Larios has made just six first-team appearances in all competitions, and spent part of last season out on loan with Real Zaragoza. It remains to be seen whether he'll commit to a new deal, or whether Southampton have plans for him to feature in their plans anytime soon.
