Harry Kane could become one of the most talked-about players in the next transfer window as the English striker is reportedly weighing the option of joining FC Barcelona. The Bayern Munich forward has a release clause of €65 million, which makes him one of the most attainable world-class strikers available next summer.

According to SPORT, Kane’s representatives have already held conversations with several clubs, including some from Saudi Arabia. Despite those talks, the player has not ruled out continuing his adventure in Germany. However, Barcelona have already been informed of the conditions of a possible transfer and are keeping a close eye on his situation.

Kane joined Bayern Munich in 2023 for €95 million and became the Bundesliga’s highest-paid player. As part of his contract, he secured a release clause that becomes active in the summer of 2026, valued at €65 million. This clause would make any future move more straightforward if he decides to leave Germany.

At 32 years old, Kane remains one of the most prolific strikers in Europe. So far this season, he has scored 22 goals and provided 3 assists in just 15 matches for Bayern Munich. His consistent performances continue to confirm his elite status and show that he still has many strong seasons ahead.

FC Barcelona are once again exploring the idea of signing an experienced striker. The club’s previous bet on Robert Lewandowski paid off when the Polish forward joined from Bayern Munich and produced excellent results. Lewandowski’s contract is nearing its end, and his recurring injuries suggest he may not continue beyond this season.

The Catalan club is evaluating different options for their attack, but their decision will depend largely on their financial situation and whether they can finally meet the La Liga 1:1 spending rule. Julian Alvarez remains their preferred option, although his transfer fee is too high. They have also identified younger players such as Etta Eyong from Levante as possible long-term prospects.

Kane’s salary could pose another challenge. He reportedly currently earns €25 million gross at Bayern Munich, a figure Barcelona might be able to match, though Premier League clubs and Saudi Arabian teams are expected to offer much higher wages. Tottenham Hotspur are also reportedly keen to bring back their former captain, which could make the competition for his signature even tougher.

Even so, Barcelona remain an attractive destination for Kane. The club previously made contact with the €75 million-rated English striker when he was still at Tottenham, though a move was not financially possible at that time. The current coaching staff admire Kane’s style and goal-scoring ability, and they see him as a player who could lead the attack immediately.

Nothing has been decided yet, but it is understood that Kane would be open to joining FC Barcelona if the club decided to pursue him. For now, the striker will wait until the end of the season before making any decisions about his future.
