Liverpool succeeded in tying Mohamed Salah down to a new contract towards the end of last season. The Egyptian King is now under contract at Anfield until 2027 - inking a new deal worth around £400k per week.
Liverpool’s greatest goalscorer of the modern era will have two more seasons to add to his extensive honours and lead the team to more silverware.

A report a couple of weeks ago from Liverpool insider Lewis Steele hinted that the club’s next major transfer priority will be establishing a succession plan to both Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
Salah will be 35 by the time he leaves the club in 2027 while Van Dijk has already turned 34.
And instead of filling a void when both depart, it appears sporting director Richard Hughes would like to sign replacements while Salah and Van Dijk are still at the club.
This would have the benefit of allowing the new recruits to take over gradually - while also keeping Salah and Van Dijk’s influence in place around the club.
And in the case of Salah it appears one name above all others is beginning to emerge as a preferred heir for the forward. It’s Michael Olise - Bayern Munich’s 23-year-old sensation who is establishing himself as one of the finest attackers around.
Following his move from Crystal Palace in 2024 - for a fee of around £53m - Olise has taken his game to new heights and he’s become a firm fixture in Didier Deschamps’ France set-up too.
Bayern contracted Olise until 2029 but there are legitimate fears at Sabener Strasse that a move to England could be soon on the cards.
Liverpool will be RIGHT there for Olise, according to a new report in Caught Offside, which also claims that the left-footer could be available for around £87m.
There have been disputes over whether or not the former Reading star has got a release clause in his contract - but that will all become apparent over time as Liverpool move closer to activating a bid.
“Liverpool are also eyeing up Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah,” the report reads.
“The France international would likely have an asking price of around £87m, though some sources indicated that there is a clause or at least a verbal agreement to negotiate for slightly lower than that with Premier League clubs.
“There is the sense that Olise would like to come back to England, and one imagines he’ll have plenty of suitors if he does decide to return.”

Olise has scored 24 goals in 59 matches for FC Hollywood thus far - making another 23 assists.
“Olise is top of Liverpool’s list,” a source told Caught Offside. “He’s seen by many at Liverpool as a natural Salah heir.”
So potentially we could see Olise move to Anfield next summer with Salah either LEAVING or else taking on a reduced role.
Competition is set to be sky high for the France star - so Liverpool better ensure they get to the top of the queue.
