9 Real Madrid stars miss training before Copa del Rey clash | OneFootball

A whole host of leading players at La Liga giants Real Madrid sat out group training at the club’s base on Tuesday.

This comes amid the ongoing personnel crisis in Xabi Alonso’s ranks.

Real Madrid are of course currently in the midst of preparations for a return to action on Wednesday night.

Fresh off securing a much-needed return to winning ways in La Liga over the weekend, Los Blancos will turn focus towards matters in the cup.

This comes as the capital outfit prepare to kick their Copa del Rey campaign for the season into gear in a meeting with Talavera.

As alluded to above, in efforts to make it two wins from two across all competitions, Real could yet be forced to make do without a number of important players.

As per a report from club insider Melchor Ruiz of COPE, the following players missed training at Valdebebas this morning, for a variety of reasons:

Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Antonio Rüdiger, Kylian Mbappé and Dani Ceballos.
