A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this weekend been tipped for a surprise move to England, with Bournemouth.
Developments between the respective boards at Barca and Bournemouth have of course taken their place front and centre in the headline across Europe over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes after the latter struck a transfer agreement, to bring an out-of-favour member of the Blaugrana’s defensive setup to Dorset.
The player primed to link up with Andoni Iraola’s squad with a view to the season ahead? Julián Araujo.
As alluded to above, though, Mexican international Araujo may not be the only member of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad to link up with Bournemouth before the summer is out…
This comes amid claims that the right-back could be followed to the Premier League by Vitor Roque.
As per a report from Bar Canaletes:
‘After Julián Araújo’s transfer to Bournemouth, the player could be accompanied, if André Cury does not cause too much trouble, by Vitor Roque.’
Any such move, it is suggested, would come in the form of a loan featuring the option to buy.
The good relations between the clubs make the transfer a feasible one, albeit with it remaining to be seen whether or not Roque himself would be open to joining the Cherries.
