Inter Miami is going to a game three after losing 2-1 to Nashville SC last Saturday. It would be a crime not to mention the real reason the Herons couldn’t finish the series on game two: They played soft.

This happens with any opponent that plays a more physical game. That’s the truth, and it's something Javier Mascherano needs to change if Inter Miami wants to qualify for the next round of the playoffs.

In the last week, there have been two rumours regarding Inter Miami's chances of signing new players. One of them is a possible successor for Sergio Busquets, an Argentinian gem from Boca Juniors.

And the other one is a well-known rival from the other side of the river.

Reports say that Inter Miami could be Pedro Gallese’s next destination

Yes, as you read in the headline, Orlando City’s greatest goalkeeper could be a Heron next season. The truth is that Pedro Gallese finished his contract with the Lions at the end of the season. Many reports pointed out the breakup of these two parties over a salary misunderstanding.

No one would have expected that a six-year relationship would end the way it ended. Pedro Gallese said via Instagram:

“Honestly, I was surprised by the decision not to continue together. I didn’t expect it, but I understand that’s how football works and how things are handled. Sometimes you have to close chapters, even when you feel like you still have more to give.”

Despite any possible altercation, the reality is that Miami has the chance to sign a goalkeeper who ruined their nights many times over the last six years.

According to Bolavip, Inter Miami has shown interest in the Peruvian goalkeeper as a free agent. However, if a deal is set to be made, it will happen when the soon-to-be ex-Lion GK becomes a free agent in January.

Pedro Gallese’s numbers with Orlando City

The former Alianza Lima player played 201 games with Orlando City in the MLS, MLS playoffs, US Open Cup, Leagues Cup, and CONCACAF Champions Cup. During those matches, the Peruvian had 57 clean sheets and 261 own goals.

While being six years at Orlando City, Gallese won the 2021/22 US Open Cup. Despite having only won one trophy, the 35-year-old was a crucial piece of the Lions' scheme.
