Erling Haaland missed Manchester City’s 1-nil win over Leeds United at Elland Road due to injury. The Norwegian international suffered an injury in training late last week, which saw him miss the crucial Premier League fixture. Up next for Manchester City is a pivotal Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow night against Nottingham Forest. Ahead of the match, Pep Guardiola told the media earlier today that a decision on Haaland’s availability, and Nico O’Reilly’s, would be made after the City squad trained today. Good news has emerged on that front as Erling Haaland was pictured training ahead of the must-win game at the Etihad.
After Pep Guardiola’s update earlier today, all eyes were on any update regarding Erling Haaland and Nico O’Reilly’s presence at Manchester City training today. In a post on X, Manchester City confirmed that Haaland trained with his teammates. Based on the images shared by City on X, Erling Haaland will be available to play against Nottingham Forest. There is currently no indication if Nico O’Reilly will play, based on the images shared on X by Manchester City earlier today.
It would seem that Erling Haaland will feature for Manchester City against Nottingham Forest tomorrow night. Haaland trained today, which is great news for Pep Guardiola’s side. Haaland offers a presence that Omar Marmoush and Antoine Semenyo do not. That isn’t a knock on either player; that is just the reality. Haaland is one of, if not the best, striker in world football. City are a better side with Haaland in their lineup, and they will be boosted for a must-win match with the return of their top scorer.
It now remains to be seen if Erling Haaland will start against Nottingham Forest. That won’t be known until the team lineups are announced ahead of the match at the Etihad. It does seem that Haaland will be available for the match, which is huge for Pep Guardiola’s side.
