Real Betis have officially announced a new agreement with Isco, extending the Spanish midfielder's contract until 2028. The club revealed the renewal in a spectacular fashion ahead of their match against Girona, as fans inside the Benito Villamarín stadium unveiled a gigantic tifo in his honor.

The 33-year-old's previous deal was set to expire in June 2027, but following weeks of negotiations, the two parties agreed to add an additional year to his contract.

In a related development, Isco has recovered from his injury and has been included in the matchday squad for the first time this season. The former Real Madrid playmaker has been with Betis since 2023, when he joined the club as a free agent after a brief stint with rivals Sevilla.
