One player who has taken giant strides this season is Jeremy Doku. The Belgian international has gone from a tantalizing, but inconsistent, winger to become a key player in this Manchester City side. Doku has become Manchester City’s first-choice left winger this season. Speaking ahead of Manchester City’s crucial Champions League fixture against Galatasaray, Doku has said that this season could potentially be his best yet. But he also warned that there is still a long way to go in Manchester City’s 25/26 campaign before this season can be considered his best yet for Manchester City.
Speaking with the media yesterday, Jeremy Doku was asked if this season had been the best of his young career. The Belgian international admitted that he has grown as a player. But he cautioned that a proper assessment on whether or not the 25/26 season was his best season cannot be made until this season is complete. Doku explained: “My prime season? Let’s see at the end of the season. I can say that I always try to to grow and I always try to become better.”
“We’re just halfway through the season but I feel like I’ve been doing better and let’s see what it brings. But I believe that this season will be better than the previous two for sure.“

Jeremy Doku has added consistency and improved his end product this season. These were necessary steps for Doku to take to become an important player for Manchester City. This season, fitness permitting, Doku has established himself as a key player for Pep Guardiola. The Belgian international has always shown his versatility as a player. When he drifts centrally from the left wing, it makes him a more dangerous proposition for Manchester City’s opponents to contend with. As City enter a critical stage of this season, Doku will have a massive role to play.
Manchester City remain in the hunt for four trophies this season. To contend for them all, City need their best players firing. Jeremy Doku is one of those. He will be a crucial player for Pep Guardiola’s side. If Doku can maintain his strong early season from, or improve on it, he will be an important weapon in City’s Arsenal.
Jeremy Doku has grown as a player this season. His improvement has caught the eye. But the job isn’t done. Not by any stretch. Doku said yesterday that an assessment on whether or not this is his best season can be made at the end of the season. If he can maintain his form and help fire City to honours, there is no doubt that the 2025/2026 season will be the best of Jeremy Doku’s career.
