Morocco turned down by a rising Real Madrid star

A Real Madrid prodigy says no to Morocco
At just 18 years old, Thiago Pitarch made a remarkable first start for Real Madrid against Getafe. Despite the 0-1 defeat, the young midfielder captivated the Santiago-Bernabéu with his personality and flair, to the point where his substitution was met with whistles from the crowd.
"I understand the booing when Thiago was substituted. The character he showed once again on the pitch was delightful. He deserved a standing ovation," praised Álvaro Arbeloa.
Courted by Morocco, the Spanish-Moroccan prodigy has, for now, chosen to represent Spain. "Pitarch has to decide. If he chooses Morocco, that's fine... The choice is a family issue," Walid Regragui recently reminded. It's a sensitive matter, but the direction seems clear.
