A reunion in the making? Pitso Mosimane negotiating return to former club
South African coaching legend Pitso Mosimane could be on the verge of sensational return to Mamelodi Sundowns, six year after leaving the club where he cemented his status as one of Africa’s most successful managers.
According to South African outlet Central News, Mosimane currently engaged in advanced talks with Sundowns over potential appointment with negotiations reportedly progressing quietly behind the scenes.
Reports claim that long-standing financial disputes between the two parties which previously strained their relationship have now been resolved clearing the way for official announcement that could arrive before the end of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The timing of the reports is significant. Sundowns are enduring difficult Betway Premiership campaign facing the real possibility of seeing their 8 year domestic dominance end.
Orlando Pirates currently lead the PSL title race while Sundowns have already exited both the MTN8 & Carling Knockout increasing pressure on head coach Miguel Cardoso whose future at Chloorkop appears increasingly uncertain.
