The transfer window has only been open for a short time, and FC Bayern has already made several moves. Two signings, but also a few departures. Now the next deal is a done deal.
As the record champion officially confirmed today, Thursday, attacking player Lovro Zvonarek is leaving FC Bayern to join CF Estrela Amadora in Portugal.
The Croatian U-21 national team player has signed a long-term contract with the first-division club. It is unclear how much FC Bayern will receive in transfer fees for the Croatian player.
Lovro Zvonarek joined FC Bayern from Slaven Belupo in 2022 and was most recently on loan first to Sturm Graz and then to Grasshoppers in Zurich. He certainly made a name for himself in Switzerland, which is why teams from Croatia had recently shown interest in him.

“Over the past two years, Lovro has gained valuable experience in professional soccer at Sturm Graz and Grasshopper Club Zurich, and he’s gotten a lot of playing time, especially in Zurich. Now he’s been given the chance to take the next step in his development in Portugal’s top division. We wish him all the best, both on and off the field, in Amadora,” said Jochen Sauer, Director of Youth Development at FC Bayern, in the press release.
Media reports surrounding the transfer make no mention of a possible buyback option for the record champions.
Interestingly, Estrela Amadora is, by the way, the club that a group of investors led by Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels, and Yann Sommer plans to take over. This was already reported about a month ago. However, the takeover has not yet been made official. The goal, though, is reportedly to focus primarily on developing young players.
This summer, Alexander Nübel, Jonah Kusi-Asare, Daniel Peretz, Maurice Krattenmacher, Leon Goretzka, and Raphael Guerreiro have already left FC Bayern. Noel Aseko is expected to follow; he is on the verge of a move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
