Bastian Schweinsteiger has made a personnel recommendation to FC Bayern, focusing on a Bundesliga professional with a special past.
During the Kings League, Schweinsteiger spoke openly about a possible new signing for his former club: „Angelo is a very interesting player. I would like to see him at Bayern,“ said the former midfield boss, who is president of the small-sided format.
Angelo Stiller spent eleven years in the youth ranks at FC Bayern and was promoted to the amateur team under Sebastian Hoeneß. After spells at Hoffenheim and now at VfB Stuttgart, he increasingly came to the fore and also made it into the German national team.

Rumours of Bayern’s interest were already doing the rounds in the summer. According to Spanish media, a return was on the agenda and Real Madrid are also said to have expressed interest. In an interview with Sport BILD a few months ago, Stiller explained: „At the moment, I’m not thinking about a move (…) At the end of my career, I definitely want to play in the USA, in the MLS. That’s 100 per cent my plan, my goal.“
His market value is estimated at around 45 million euros, with VfB reportedly demanding even more. A signing by FC Bayern would therefore not only be a challenging decision in sporting terms, but also financially – especially as there is strong competition in the squad with Pavlović, Kimmich, Goretzka and new signing Bischof.
A potential move to Bayern could also become more explosive due to Sebastian Hoeneß. The Stuttgart coach is considered a close confidant of Stiller, was active at FC Bayern himself for a long time and was also considered a hot candidate for the coaching position in Munich before Kompany’s signing. However, Hoeneß will do everything in his power to ensure that Stiller continues to perform well in Stuttgart for the time being.
