FC Bayern remains the clear leader in the Bundesliga when it comes to TV revenue. For the 2026–27 season, the German record champion will receive more than 92 million euros, putting it well ahead of Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.

Good news for FC Bayern: As reported by Sport BILD, a total of 92,306,774 euros from national TV rights will flow to the German record champions in the 2026/27 season. This means the Munich club will receive the largest share of any Bundesliga team, clearly placing them ahead of Borussia Dortmund (83.7 million euros) and Bayer Leverkusen (81.3 million euros).

In total, the Bundesliga will distribute 1.121 billion euros from national TV rights. Of this amount, 80 percent goes to the 18 Bundesliga clubs, while the second-division clubs receive the remaining 20 percent.

Bayern benefits from its sporting success

It comes as no surprise that FC Bayern once again receives the largest share. The distribution is based on a four-pillar model. Half of the revenue is distributed equally among all clubs; the remaining 50 percent is allocated according to various criteria.

The biggest factor, accounting for 43 percent, is sporting performance over the past few years. This takes into account a five-year ranking within each league, a five-year cross-league ranking, and a combined ten-year ranking of all 36 professional clubs.

Added to this are the areas of youth development (4 percent) and public interest (3 percent), which is determined, among other things, by TV reach, membership numbers, and fan popularity.

Behind FC Bayern are Borussia Dortmund (83,726,917 euros), Bayer Leverkusen (81,333,331 euros), and Eintracht Frankfurt (77,122,161 euros). RB Leipzig receives 72,859,030 euros and rounds out the top five.

At the bottom of the Bundesliga standings are the two promoted teams, Schalke 04 (35,708,626 euros) and SV Elversberg (31,174,826 euros), with the latter receiving the smallest share of all first-division clubs.
