Nonetheless, Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo report that “Abdellah Ouazane, 16, seemed to have already signed for Real Madrid. The midfielder refused to renew with Ajax and had chosen Real Madrid as his new team.”

He even travelled to Madrid to complete his medical and sign his contract but then “everything fell apart after Real Madrid halted the signing because Ouazane failed the medical tests with the club.”

Strangely, he subsequently passed new medical tests back in Amsterdam with Ajax.

A window for United to act

It has been stated that Real Madrid will definitely not return for the player in spite of his new test results carried out by Ajax.

In fact, the Dutch club “is confident that in this situation, Ouzane will end up renewing his contract.”

Nonetheless, the paper warns that “teams like Manchester United are very interested in signing the young player.”

Previous interest

United have certainly had previous interest in the player as a report back in April suggested that they were eyeing a move for the midfielder this summer.

The youngster who has been compared to Jude Bellingham, played 20 academy games last season, scoring seven goals in the process.
