The upcoming final presents a fascinating clash of backgrounds. On one side, Orlando Pirates' Abdeslam Ouaddou brings the weight of experience from a distinguished playing career in England's top flight and multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. He now faces his former club, now helmed by Alexandre Lafitte, who, at just 28, has made history as the youngest head coach in the PSL's history despite not having a top-level playing pedigree.

Ouaddou acknowledged the unique challenge Lafitte represents, stating of his counterpart: "I think when you are young and you manage to come into the South African market, one of the best leagues in Africa, you have qualities. One of the things I have noticed this season in him, he is different from me last season."

He highlighted a key difference in their tenures, noting, "He was able to buy players. I came in February and I had to deal with the players that we had. But what I can say is that he is doing a good job, he is a young coach."

Analysing the tactical threat, the Pirates coach described a formidable opponent, saying, "It is a team that is very well organised, with compact blocks, very difficult to find spaces against that team." However, he concluded with determined resolve, affirming, "But we will make sure to try to find solutions in order to break that block."
