Abel Ferreira is set to report back to Palmeiras this week, having taken a kartcross spin while on holiday in Portugal.
According to Nosso Palestra, the coach is a motorsport enthusiast who often references Ayrton Senna in press conferences and makes racing analogies. Portuguese drivers captured moments alongside him.

He has an agreement with the Palmeiras hierarchy to return after the remainder of the squad, who assembled on Sunday 4 at the Academia de Futebol.
As is customary each January, he is granted a few extra days off due to planning for the following season.
With Abel on the bench, Palmeiras begin their Campeonato Paulista on Saturday 10 at 20:30 Brasília time against Portuguesa at Canindé.
