Abel Ferreira, Giay and Marlon Freitas return to Palmeiras training | OneFootball

Palmeiras held Wednesday morning training with key returns as Abel Ferreira, Giay and Marlon Freitas reported back.

According to Globo.com, the squad completed medical and functional tests at the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance, after which Abel rejoined his staff and led the on-pitch session.

Giay had been with Argentina’s delegation at the start of the World Cup, so his break was slightly longer. Marlon Freitas missed the first week to resolve personal matters.

The session focused on aerial work in attack and defence. Vitor Roque again took part in a portion of the warm-up on the pitch and continued his programme with the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance.

The squad and coaching staff will have lunch at the training centre before a training game against Mauaense. Kick-off is at 15:00, with TV Palmeiras broadcasting on YouTube.
