Absurd Kemar Roofe Rangers rumour is utter desperation

Article image:Absurd Kemar Roofe Rangers rumour is utter desperation

Ibrox Noise had to laugh somewhat yesterday, when a ridiculous story appeared in the clickbait press. As recently mentioned in an article, Rangers have had one or two crocked players over the years. One of those is the notable Kemar Roofe, who scored that absolutely bewildering goal in Belgium. A goal which, quite literally, is one of, if not the greatest goal of all time. Kemar Roofe Rangers rumour was ridiculous.

It was ridiculous, and has never been matched by anybody else. But it was achieved on a rare day when he was actually fit.

The Clickbait Nonsense

What we were laughing about recently was the hilarious clickbait story that Rangers were going to re-sign him. Yes, some AI slop clickbait site made the claim that Danny Röhl wants to sign Kemar Roofe — literally the most ridiculous story we’ve heard all year, given the fact that the boy went on a brief stint at Derby, and of course was injured on his debut there too.

He is permanently injured. He has some kind of health issue, that prevents him from retaining fitness for anything more than barely a few matches, if even that. So the notion that Rangers would want to sign him back, having let him go because of his injuries? Which have only worsened since departure, is absurd clickbait nonsense.

The Reality of Roofe’s Situation

He will, in fact, with luck, get the move he actually wants — to Walsall, a League Two side. He is currently training with them, and that’s the town in which he was born, so he has an emotional link to play there. That is the level he is at in terms of fitness.

No senior high-level top-flight team would take a chance on Kemar Roofe. He is just not fit enough, regardless of the unquestionable talent he has. His career is a crying shame of what could have been for a very talented striker with technical quality to burn.

A Poignant Ending to a Talented Career

At the end of the day though, Kemar Roofe Rangers rumour is false, and we wish him well at Walsall, if that is indeed where he goes.
